Responsibilities:
Facilitate and lead the initiation of key strategic infrastructure initiatives by developing an overall architecture for the Oracle database environment, middleware and tools area
Author Architectural reviews by utilizing a fact based methodology (i.e. across all domain areas against alignment to key business objectives) to ensure comprehensive solutions
Provide direction and architecture for Oracle and related supporting technologies that includes: Oracle10g/11g, Oracle RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Identity Manager etc.
Provide leadership in development of operations procedures, support tools, and utilities with the ability to understand business requirements and align enabling technology
Act as in-house trusted advisor to IT executives and management for Oracle technology solutions and architecture
Drive the creation of approved technology standards and ensure awareness throughout IT
Help establish technology strategies ensuring that enterprise, interdepartmental, and business objectives are addressed
Work with business teams to develop Business Process Models and work with technology teams to design, develop and implement these processes and required infrastructure
Establish data standards and policies, systems architecture design, and migration systems architectures to ensure access to and integrity of data assets

Requirements
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working with Oracle databases and technology in a fast paced and challenging environment.
Must possess strong experience and knowledge of Oracle database and related/supporting technologies and tools that include Oracle RAC, Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and Grid Control, ASM, Data Guard, RMAN, database security concepts etc.
Experience creating formal technical documentation that details architecture, requirements, design and implementation
Proven experience and knowledge in the area of designing and building scalable, high performance, highly available database infrastructures
