JOB DESCRIPTION:
This position Information Technology Analyst, Senior DBA Architect is responsible for support of our existing Enterprise Oracle Applications and to provide technical leadership and guidance. This is inclusive of all tasks and procedures ensuring the security and integrity of ITS supported databases.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Performing database maintenance, Technical support, Supporting on-going application development, Installation and upgrades of Oracle and technical leadership within our Oracle 10g RAC infrastructure on a Linux operating system, and Oracle ASM working with EMC Clariion storage.
Successful candidates will have excellent troubleshooting skills.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience, and a minimum of 5 years experience in Oracle Database Administration with 5+ years Technical Support Experience and Linux Administration experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proven experience with PL/SQL including writing and optimizing code in PL/SQL
- Knowledge of Oracle 10g and knowledge of current Oracle Enterprise Database Releases
- Additional experience with tuning and troubleshooting Oracle instances, and installing Oracle on Windows/Linux/UNIX is needed
- Experience with configuring and maintaining highly scalable environments, as well as configuring, maintaining and tuning Oracle Clusterware
- Knowledge of the following is preferred: Oracle RAC,Oracle Backup/Recovery Methodologies and Strategies,Oracle ASM,EMC Clariion, EMC storage solutions SAN fabrics and networking concepts
- Candidate must have the ability to communicate with upper level management, handle periods of high stress, and manage multiple tasks and priorities. Must be a team player.
- Certification in Oracle 8i or higher is desired.
