SUNY ITEC's OEM Experience

Post by sam »

SUNY ITEC's OEM Experience
Ed Burton, SUNY ITEC

SUNY ITEC's has been using OEM 10g Grid Control since 2006. There have been plans to make it the "single source of truth enterprise manager", well, it never got there. I will speak of the issues ITEC has run into through the years with OEM and ITEC's vision for OEM 12c Cloud Control.

Ed Burton joined SUNY ITEC in 2007 as a programmer analyst after 9 years working at Science Applications International Corporation in Newport, RI. Ed has been supporting database technologies since 1992 working with Informix and Progress databases initially and has been supporting Oracle databases for the last 13 years. Much of Ed's experience with Oracle has included using Oracle Enterprise Manager starting with all versions since 8i and now moving into 12c.
