Virtualizing Oracle Database Data using Delphix[

Virtualizing Oracle Database Data using Delphix
Brian Kelly, Delphix
Delphix has developed a unique approach to handling the challenges associated with maintaining non-production Oracle databases, through the use of Database Virtualization.  Leveraging Oracle APIs, Delphix is capable of maintaining a consistent copy of a production Oracle Database, while creating N+1 copies for supporting environments.  Customers typically see a 10x reduction in storage footprint and a 95% reduction in the number of hours consumed by database refreshes and provisions.  Delphix Regional Sales Manager, Brian Kelly, will be providing a technology overview as well as a product demo and review of customer use cases.

Oracle VM 3.0 - Past and Future

Oracle VM 3.0 - Past and Future
Joe Hoot, SUNY ITEC
In this presentation I will discuss the advancements that Oracle VM has made over the last few years.  I will be discussing some of the pain points that SUNY has gone through in implementing Oracle VM and how Oracle VM 3.0 will be resolving these issues.

Joe Hoot - I have worked in the IT industry for 15 years as a system administrator, network engineer, system integrator, and other titles that might not reflect the work I do.  I've been playing with networks, operating systems, and telephony since I was a kid.  Over the last few years I've focused primarily on Oracle VM, Linux, and Dell EqualLogic SAN storage.
