Department/College Description:
The Division of Development and Alumni Relations is strategically critical to the mission and goals of RIT. We are a team-oriented, high-energy environment that works with all areas of the university to increase the involvement of alumni and other friends in the life of RIT. Our primary goal is to maximize fundraising opportunities and alumni involvement on behalf of the university.

Detailed Job Description:
1. Interact with a cross functional work team to provide customer support to RIT’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations, and all users of RIT’s donor management system.
2. Lead efforts in business analysis and functionality enhancement in support of the RIT donor management system and the alumni online community.
3. Lead conversations with senior management, end users, and the Advancement Information Services team to develop functional and technical specifications, assess business processes and implement best practices.
4. Work closely with the Director of Advancement Information Services to manage technical projects through a coordinated project lifecycle from analysis to implementation, focusing on data driven fundraising efforts and best practices.
5. Oversees the day to day operations of the donor management system and the associated data interfaces, including technical coordination, communications, and training.
6. Oversees the data integrity function within Development and Alumni Relations to manage the data flow and data entry processes across the division.
7. Supervises full time Data Systems Specialist, Training and Business Analyst, and Data Processing Assistant and student employees as necessary.
8. Works closely with a cross functional work team to provide excellent customer support to RIT’s Division of Development and Alumni Relations.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Required Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field
• Minimum of five years of related experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and one or more donor database systems.
• Must have experience with reporting and business intelligence tools such as Crystal reports, Tableau, and other related technologies.
• Must have experience with relational database design, including knowledge of PL/SQL, Oracle, and other related technologies.
• Must have experience with the usage of statistical packages such as SPSS, SAS or other.
• Must have some experience with defining and providing user training
Required Minimum Education Level: BS
Preferred Qualifications: Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of Sungard/Datatel Advance system a plus.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines requested by a diverse group of persons with emphasis on a high level quality of customer service
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills necessary
• Strong analytical, intuitive, organizational, attention-to-detail and interpersonal skills
• Effective leadership skills
