Oracle Open World - comments!!

Post by Jame Gaston »

Oracle Open World:
    40,000+ to attend the Oracle Open World event!  1600 Presentations over 5 days!!  I sure hope you are going.  In addition to Registering for the event, you can also per register for each presentation.  That is designed to get you preferred seating and with 40,000+ attendees you may not get a seat unless you pre-register!!
    Speakers:
- Have you ever attended a presentation based only on WHO is presenting?
- When someone in the KNOW is speaking, doesn’t it make sense to listen?
- Have you ever been in an audience and heard something PROFOUND spoken by someone who has an extensive background in the subject?
There are some speakers you just have to listen to regardless of their topic.  You know you will hear or see something that is timely, relevant, and will save you hours of research.  I have found a few presenters that are in that category.
Rich Niemiec (TUSC and IOUG);
Cary Milsap (Hotsos, Oracle);
Tom Kyte (Oracle, AskTom);
Don Burleson (RemoteDBA, Rampant TechPress, Burleson Consulting…);
And of course, don’t forget the KEYNOTE speakers (Larry Ellison, Thomas Kurian…).  There are more speakers that deserve attention!  This is YOUR forum!  If you know of any presenters who fit the above category, please share?
    Have a great time at Open World and remember to share!!
