Did you know Sata drives are no longer available in the Exadata? just 2 levels of sas.. The HP (high performance) are about 25% faster than the HC (high capacity).  According to Kevin Closson the sata drives were crashing about once a month.  No one else seemed to realize this as part of the anouncement with the new Exadata 2-8 and 2-2.
